Centurion (previously known as Verwoerdburg and before that Lyttelton) is an area with 236,580 inhabitants (2011 census) in the Gauteng Province of South Africa, between Pretoria and Midrand. Formerly an independent municipality, with its own town council, it has been part of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality since 2000.

It begins by heading south-west as Cantonments Road, then as Rabie Street, meeting the M34 route (Jean Avenue) adjacent to the Jean Crossing Mall, to enter the Centurion CBD, where it crosses the Hennops River, bends to the south and becomes John Vorster Drive.

After meeting the M11, it bypasses Faerie Glen and passes by Wapadrand, where it meets the M6 route (Lynnwood Road; Graham Road). [ 5 ] Still named Solomon Mahlangu Drive, the M10 heads north-east to cross the N4 toll highway ( Maputo Corridor ) east of Equestria before meeting the R104 route (Bronkhorstspruit Road) at the next junction.
The M31 route begins just south-west of the Moreleta Park suburb in southern Pretoria, at a junction with the R50 route (Delmas Road). It begins by heading south-west for 4.5 kilometres, forming the northern border of the Rietvlei Nature Reserve and bypassing the Rietvlei Dam, to reach a junction with the M57 route (Goedehoop Avenue).
