Tesla A/C not cooling air - solved While driving today, the air conditioner in our Tesla Model X was blowing warm air despite trying to cool the car. We tried a mix of simple things - turn off Auto, lower temperature to low, max fan, etc - but no luck. After a call to Tesla support, a bunch of...
2020 MY & early 2021: 15W max per port for the USB-A, 27W max per port for the USB-C (old console) Late 2021: 27W max per port for all the 4 USB-C (new console) 2022 - Current: 36W max per port for the 2 front USB-C, 27W max per port for the 2 rear USB-C
I was very surprised to learn that Tesla recommends replacing the "A/C dessicant bag" every 2-6 years (depending on year and model) as a maintenance item. I understand the purpose of dessicant in a refrigeration system, but once the dessicant absorbs any moisture that may remain in the system...
According to the Model Y manual the USB-C ports support data. From the manual (of course this could be wrong, but first try the USB port in the glove box to verify the USB is correctly configured): Model Y has two USB ports located in the front compartment of the center console. These ports can be used to: Connect and charge USB devices.
This was exactly my first thought. Tesla should team up with Rick Woodbury from Commuter Cars and make this. If the Model C sold in Australia for about $30k, I would definitely buy it! Maybe I've missed it somewhere, but I haven't seen any discussion on tackling traffic congestion on these forums.
2018 LR RWD Model 3. This car has consistently made a clicking sound from the right rear passenger area. I was able to narrow this down to the upper C pillar or the rail above it. Tesla service tried to fix this twice, but were unsuccessful. I was able to resolve this over a period of a few...
Tesla usually makes it hard to stack the discounts. You might need to give up financial or option special EOY pricing in order to get a 2025. Side note, is that Tesla will usually want to deliver all the N. American production as possible before the EOY.
I've wanted to power and charge my Thinkpad T480 laptop in my Tesla Model 3 using the enormous power of the Tesla batteries. I tried using a USB to USB-C cable from all the different USB connectors in the Tesla - NO LUCK; I tried charging a external battery pack and powering my laptop from it -...
In early 2020, after the Model Y started shipping with USB-C charging ports, Tesla started shipping Model 3’s with the upgraded parts. A pre-upgrade Model 3 has a hub with two USB-A ports in the console, and two USB-A ports below the rear vent. A post-upgrade Model 3 has 1 USB-A port, and 1...
A/C was set on 9 at 68 degrees. Starting out I had a 90 mile charge. When I got home it was down to 8. To conserve energy I turned off the A/C on my way home. Question: How much energy does air conditioning consume? Took delivery of my Model 3, btw, less than two months ago.
