The Black River Falls Public Library is located in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. It became the first free public library in Wisconsin in 1872. [1] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. [2]
The Chalmer DaVee Library was dedicated to Dr. Chalmer DaVee in 1997. A member of the Board of Regents in 1945, DaVee insisted that the school offer a liberal arts program, and was a firm supporter of River Falls being a part of the building program, which led to the building of Hathorn Hall and the library, as well as an Industrial Arts building.
