William Lynn Ogg (May 17, 1937 – September 10, 2020) was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995 to 2002. He also served on the Scioto County Commission and on the Portsmouth City Council. [1] [2] His district consisted of Scioto County, Ohio. He was succeeded in 2003 by Todd Book.
As of the census [3] of 2000, there were 982 people, 378 households, and 291 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 499.0 inhabitants per square mile (192.7/km 2).

Sciotoville is a neighborhood in the city of Portsmouth in Scioto County, Ohio. It is located at the intersection of U.S. 52 and State Route 335 between the village of New Boston and Wheelersburg in Scioto County along the northern bank of the Ohio River. It has its own post office, but shares the ZIP code of 45662 with the city of Portsmouth. [2]
Statewide, the only other Porter Township is located in Delaware County. Porter Township has the distinction of being one of the earliest settled, dating to February 1796. It was organized by Samuel Marshall on December 16, 1814. [ 4 ]
Statewide, the only other Valley Township is located in Guernsey County. Valley Township was organized June 4, 1860. [ 4 ] The township was named for the valley of the Scioto River.
