A family feud taking place between 1896 and 1902, centered in the Creek Nation of the old Indian Territory (now Oklahoma ). It began with the death of Thomas Brooks on August 24, 1896. Brooks was killed during a botched holdup which was to originally include some members of the McFarland family in its execution.
