I swear that I remember making this account well over a decade ago. During Gen 5 or earlier, I think. There was an official Trainer Card maker (with a limited dress-up sprite) to display ID numbers. I think a forum & online games/quizzes. Point is, I remember the email/password for years & have linked it to multiple games; including Go.
She’ll still have access with her Gmail, but if you try to link your account with the trainer account, you’ll get a message saying it’s already linked to another account. I just tried this. My little brother linked my trainer account to his Pokemon Go, and I’ve been unable to figure out how unlink it.
