Andrea Beaumont, also known as the Phantasm, is a supervillain and antihero created by Alan Burnett and Paul Dini, and designed by Bruce Timm. Beaumont first appeared as the main antagonist in the 1993 DC Animated Universe (DCAU) film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm , where she was established as the fiancée of Bruce Wayne/Batman .
With this information, Batman deduces that Beaumont has been dead for years and the Phantasm is Andrea, who wants to avenge her father's death. Her final target is the Joker, who personally assassinated her father at their home. Andrea tracks down the Joker to his hideout in Gotham's abandoned World's Fair.
Bookworm was created for the Batman (1966) series and first appeared in the consecutive episodes "The Bookworm Turns" and "While Gotham City Burns". In these episodes, he steals many high-value books and leaves clues for Batman to solve, similar to the Riddler, which eventually leads to his defeat.
