The Yamaha RX-K 135 is a two-stroke engine motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. in and for Southeast Asia. It was also known as RX-King in Indonesia, while it was sold as the RX-K in Malaysia and Singapore and as the RX-T 135 in the Philippines.
The first bike manufactured by Yamaha was actually a copy of the German DKW RT 125; it had an air-cooled, two-stroke, single cylinder 125 cc engine [1] YC-1 (1956) was the second bike manufactured by Yamaha; it was a 175 cc single cylinder two-stroke. [1] YD-1 (1957) Yamaha began production of its first 250 cc, two-stroke twin, the YD1. [1]
It appeared in production on the 1974 Yamaha YZ-250, a model which is still in production, making it Yamaha's longest continuous model and name. The Yamaha RX-Z 135 is a two-stroke naked bike manufactured by Yamaha Motor Corporation. Debuting in April 1985, the RX-Z was very popular in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand and was sold until production was ended in 2011. In 2004, the RX-Z had a restyle and a catalytic converter was installed.
The P in Yamaha V50P stood for pedals and was released in the UK in 1975, now that it had pedals it could be bought and used on L-plates. The bike itself was almost exactly the same to the original V50 but instead of having the standard footrests it had pedals that could move the bike when the engine was off.
