Good software Equalizer for HyperX Cloud II? Hello, I've had this pair of headphones for a good while now, and they still serve me great, but I wanted to try something out with different levels. turns out, hyperx doesn't come with any pre-packaged or even downloadable EQ.
You might see a firmware update prompt once the headset is detected, and if that's the case, proceed with the update and you should then be able to start using it :) . One thing to keep in mind is that this is an older headset model, so it has a very limited set of features.
I downloaded Ngenuity software and it upgraded my firmware version and random static noise issue became worse. I had to download an Equalizer program and changed some equalizer settings and kept volume levels under 30. Now ngenuity updated itself to latest windows version, it can't detect my HyperX Cloud Alpha S anymore.

i just got this headset and i'm also wondering the same thing. i bought this 2 days ago, worked great day 1, but now, the volume wheel on the headset doesn't control volume levels and idk how to fix this. i didn't install any software, this was plug in and play for me day 1 and like i said, no issues, that day.
u/Wellkore, a recent software and firmware update may cause issues with some HyperX headsets. If NGENUITY prompts you to update your headset firmware, hold off for now. We're working on a fix. If you're having trouble with your headset, please fill out the form linked in this thread. The more data we gather, the faster we can implement a solution.
However I am having problems with the driver update. While the headphones are working properly, I cannot enable DTS because of outdated software. When i try to update it via NGENUITY Client, the process is permanently stuck on Installing Drivers on 0% progress. Is it possible to download the driver/update outside of this forsaken app?
u/SirFrogger, as stated in the previous comment, the Cloud II wired headset does not have software support. It's pretty much plug and play, and the 7.1 virtual surround feature can be enabled/disabled with the press of a button on the USB sound card :) .
My first headset has Kingston VID. When it got broken HP support replaced it with new headset. It has HP VID. Orbit software detect compatible headset by combination of VID and PID and supports only Kingston VID. To fix the problem you need to patch VID/PID table in Orbit.exe Here you can download patched version for HP VID:
The headset comes with an in-line audio controller (software, no dials) that is approximately 3 foot away from the headphones. you are unable to 'know' when the microphone is turned up all the way. It has a hardware mic mute, sound volume control, microphone volume control ( you are unable to 'know' when the microphone is turned up all the way ...
