Travelling to the Eyrie to find the Stark girls, Brienne encounters Sandor Clegane and his travelling companion, Arya Stark. Unable to persuade Arya to join her, and after defeating Sandor in single combat, Brienne travels with Podrick to Winterfell, where Sansa Stark has surfaced after escaping King's Landing.
