Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (often abbrevriated as SIA) is an automobile assembly plant in Lafayette, Indiana, United States, which began as "Subaru-Isuzu Automotive, Inc.", a joint venture between Subaru Corporation and Isuzu Motors Ltd. [2] Today, the plant is a wholly owned subsidiary of Subaru Corporation which produces the Ascent, Crosstrek, Legacy and Outback models.
Subaru utilizes the sport of rallying to promote their line-up of all-wheel drive vehicles, specifically the Subaru Impreza WRX STI which has dominated rallying in both the US and internationally for decades. Starting in 2006 Vermont SportsCar began managing the operations of Subaru Rally Team USA.
Subaru supplies a factory-backed team for Rally America, and has won the driver's title in five of the seasons. [14] Starting in 2006, Subaru of America sponsored the Subaru Road Racing Team (SRRT) with a Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Spec-B in the Grand-Am Street Tuner class. When routes were legislated in Pennsylvania in 1911, what is now PA 944 was not assigned a number. By this time, Wertzville Road was an unpaved road. [4] The road between Wertzville and Enola later became Legislative Route 569. [5] PA 944 was designated in 1928 to run from Wertzville east to PA 5 (now US 11/US 15) in Enola.
The northern terminus is at PA 641 outside of Carlisle. PA 465 heads northeast from PA 174 along Walnut Bottom Road, passing through farmland. On October 24, 2018, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) released their plans for a new exit 12 on I-81, at Guilford Springs Road, estimated to cost around $23 million. [13] The purpose for the exit is to improve access for trucks to the various distribution warehouses south of Chambersburg, such as Target . [ 14 ]

Carlisle lies in south-central Pennsylvania, southwest of the intersection of Interstate 76 (the Pennsylvania Turnpike) and Interstate 81, roughly 20 miles (32 km) west-southwest of Harrisburg, the state capital. By road, it is approximately 80 mi (130 km) northwest of Baltimore and 124 mi (200 km) west-northwest of Philadelphia. [25]
