Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE (SQIT) is an Australian vocational college for teaching Tertiary and Further Education. The Institute provides training across a significant portion of Southern Queensland with campuses in Toowoomba , Roma , Warwick , Kingaroy , Dalby , Chinchilla , Charleville , Cherbourg and Stanthorpe .
The Technical College remained in the city hall until the construction of the new building in 1911. The site for the Toowoomba Technical College building, now known as Block A, was acquired in 1908 and the building was constructed in 1911, the foundation stone being laid by Sir William MacGregor , Governor of Queensland .
