The Canterbury A&P Association was formed a few weeks later on 23 January 1863, with Robert Wilkin as its first president. The Royal Easter Show is an event held annually during Easter in Auckland, New Zealand.It was first held in 1843 and since then has included agricultural events, art exhibitions, live entertainment, sporting events, rides, sideshows, a marketplace and circuses. [1]
Later resurrected by director Tyrone Guthrie and designer Tanya Moiseiwitsch, [3] a thrust stage was used in 1953 by the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada. [4] Their Festival Theatre was originally under a tent, until a permanent thrust stage theatre facility was constructed in 1957.
