I live in a rural area (a couple of miles south of a small town). I ordered in February and kept being told service was expected in my area in "mid- to late-2021," even though several people not too far from me have Starlink. Then, recently, my neighbor, who lives a couple of hundred of yards away, ordered Starlink and it arrived within a few days.
By the FCC's definition, Starlink is not available to you. I am in the same circumstances. I went to my address in the National Broadband Map and filed an aptly named "Availability Challenge" against Starlink along with a screenshot showing my address and Starlink's "expand service in your area in 2023" message.
Was originally slated for mid to late 2021 but was pushed out like so many others to much later dates. I understand that we are all in cells but don't understand why so few are available in each cell. Is it because of so little numbers of ground stations? Not enough satellites? Or is it a lack of kits? My nearest ground station is 20 miles away.
The only cable provider in my area is Cox and they literally stole $1200 from me by overcharging for a year. When confronted they admitted guilt but said I only had 3 months to report a billing dispute.

Yes, my equipment has not worked except for about three hours right after I set it up. I opened a support ticket the next day (Apr 17). I got a canned message back the day after that saying that there was a known outage in my area for unknown reason and unknown duration and the ticket was closed.
Is it normal to receive the Starlink is Available in my area and update my address to receive the invite but then never see an invite. I got the email on Nov 9. Really want in this beta.
Thanks for your reply.. I signed up & paid a $99 deposit first come first serve for Starlink in my area. don’t know when starlink will be available in my area York Pennsylvania. I think it goes by what latitude your in..so wasn’t sure when it might be available in my area.
I am in very rural NorthWest Alaska. Waitlisted for residential starlink until Q1 2023. It is unclear to me whether there is any hope that the Starlink RV kit will work at this time in my area. Yesterday's announcement suggests that it works in Waitlist areas but it is just de-prioritized.
I'm in SW mo too, I wasn't aware that anybody actually had it around close to us, I would like to know too if they do. I've been using hot spots and the like for my rural internet, which sometimes doesn't stream YouTube very well without a lot of hiccups. I went ahead and gave them my $99 to hold my place in line.
