I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP here to help you. Have you tried playing the videos using Movies and TV app, from inside the app? If so and it won't play try resetting it from Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Movies & TV > Advanced Settings > Reset.
