Djanogly City Academy – Sherwood Rise Campus Djanogly formerly operated on two sites – the 14–19 Centre in the old CTC building in Sherwood Rise, and the 11–14 Centre in a new building designed by Foster & Partners on the site of the former Forest Comprehensive School on Gregory Boulevard, opposite the Forest Recreation Ground .
The school was founded in 1991 as the eighth of fifteen specialist CTCs set up to raise educational standards in inner-city areas. [2] The catchment area includes Telford, Wolverhampton and the villages and suburbs in between. One of the school's initial main aims was to help relieve the under-performing schools in the urban areas of Wolverhampton.
