April 2011. I have a 2006 G6 GTP which I bought at 12500 miles. I really enjoyed this car with the great gas mileage and fun sporty look although the engine just died at 31000 miles. I have regularly maintenanced the vehicle with top of the line synthetic oil and premium gasoline.
August 2011. I have a 2005 Pontiac G6 GT model. Whenever I start my car it starts and then immediately shuts down. I don't get a check engine light or anything. It will start if I give it a little gas and then it runs normally. I have also experience a loss in power and gas mileage even after replacing plugs and wires.

If that's your Pontiac G6 then try this: - take the black plastic engine cover off (you will need to take oil cap off) - on the left side on top of the engine you will see two OCV next to each other - the one with INT letters edged into engine is intake OCV (camshaft position actuator BANK 1) (or the one closer to the front of the car)
Probably not anything related. It has always seemed its one gear that does this. This gear slips into gear, shifting noticeably rough. Sometimes you can tell, sometimes its less there. But usually always showing. My take is that I have driven 3 others cars, 2 were new G6's, same engine, the other an 07 G6 that had about 27k miles on it.

Replace complete valve body and necessary gaskets. Flush cooler lines, perform alignment then reinstall transmission. Pontiac G6 Transmission. eclams Member Posts: 1. March 2006 edited November 2017. My G6 has a very noisy and Clunky transmission. I have had it to the dealer 3 times and I wrote and called GM. I believe there is nothing that can be done. Since it is the first application for this trans in a GM car, I think they just screwed it up.
I have a 2009 Pontiac G6 and the radio will not turn off. mp9 Member Posts: 2. September 2014 edited September 2014. Radio will not turn off when car is off and door has been opened. I can close the door and i can still hear the radio going. Please help.
