Dude i'm so hyped. I wanted a death star for ages wasn't collecting during the time the originals were out so this plus an official Cal Kestis to go with my custom Mantis is awesome. Already got the little BB-8 from the official set to go with this Cal. this year is stacked.
Additionally, Mould King's sticker names this the "Death Planet" which my inner Star Wars fan screamed angrily about. However, the correct sticker is available for purchase online. Overall, this is definitely an advanced build that requires alot of time and patience (it took me a month to complete it with 2 hours spent per day), but the results ...
The Death Star (75159) was my all-time favourite Star Wars set, and it kills me inside every time I think about not picking it up. I hope LEGO decides to release something like a UCS ultra-detailed Death Star with an 8000+ piece count.
This set is expected to just be the imperial base itself, not a specific scene where the rebels were on board the Death Star. Ideally there will be only imperial figures in it. If you want the Rebel Alliance figures, get the Yavin IV set, or get the trash compactor diorama (now retired, but you can still find it at or even below retail price if ...
Lego Death Star II is 4761.904 / 0.0096 = a diameter of 496,031 bricks and two plates. Let's assume that 80% is empty space. Hangars, holding cells, Throne rooms, garbage disposals, cantinas etc. Take the Death Star I diameter in bricks to calculate the volume, take 20% and you get 6,543,734,837,894,761 bricks. It would have a mass of ...
Death star playset or the deathstar II ucs set? It would be cool if they made a new deathstar II. But please for the love of all that is good dont make another death star playset. It just retired after having one from 2008-2016 and then 2018 till now. Give us something new
I’m personally hoping that Lego goes the route of making it as close to a normal imperial base as possible. So here’s my ideal loadout. Command centre: 1x gunner, 1x crewman and 1x imperial captain and 1x any not done officers from Death Star 1 or 2. Armoury/ cargo bay: 2x stormtroopers. Detention block: 2x Death Star trooper and 1x navy ...
The Jedi Bob set and Dark Falcon especially are must buys for the concepts alone, And I will definitely have to get that Death Star just for Cal at least but I am hoping the set it self is just as great as the other Death Stars even if it is Smaller. Also the R2-D2 for Malak
The architecture is almost identical between the two. The newer one looks a little more elegant IMO thanks to some of the newer pieces.
Depends entirely on what you want and what you like. The Death Star is a good set, if you have the money and want it, get it. However we are getting another UCS in May (likely the Gunship), and there are a few other good expensive sets on market right now. Just depends on what you want really.
