The Denver Botanic Gardens is a public botanical garden located in the Cheesman Park neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The 23-acre (93,000 m 2 ) park contains a conservatory, a variety of theme gardens and a sunken amphitheater , which hosts various concerts in the summer.
The tropical conservatory was designed in 1964 by Denver architects Victor Hornbein and Ed White Jr. and opened in 1966. Its structure consists of high, interlaced concrete arches inset with faceted Plexiglas panels, [1] which suitably honor benefactor Claude Boettcher of the Ideal Cement Company.
