A divine soul sorcerer can heal half their hp as a bonus action as their 18th level ability, storm sorcerers make the entire party permanently fly on top of immunity to two types of damage, draconic is one of the weakest - every turn, save or lose to all enemies in a 60' globe.. aberrant mind kinda sucks.. but like, the better subclasses all ...
Umbral Incarnate is significantly more powerful than any other Sorcerer option, and probably any other ability in 5e. I would be scared to put this ability on a BBEG, let alone a PC. As it stands, it will warp player choices across classes while simultaneously resulting in an unsatisfying gameplay pattern. Let's start from the top.
Both get an expanded spell list, 2 spells for each of the first five spell levels. This is pretty standard, also for sorcerer subclasses. Your spell choices look a bit power-gamey, a lot of best-of effects - shield, blink, dimension door, banishment. If the flavor is martial combat, why do you have banishment? If the theme is dunamancy, why is ...
D&D Wiki did to you what it does best: Confused new players. There are 5 official Sorcerer's "archetypes"/Origins on D&D 5e: Draconic Ancestry, Wild Magic, Favoured Soul, Shadow Magic and Storm Magic. That second link you posted from D&D wiki is what we call "Homebrew", things made up by players and that are not official.

It's part of a set of classes I'm designing that attempt to make divination magic more interesting for the players in D&D 5e. I have three main concerns about it specifically, but I am also interested in general feedback about balance (this is ...
1 These subclasses are included in the DMG and can be used only with the consent of the DM because they are generally made to be used for NPCs only or only in special DM-granted circumstances. However, the DM may choose to make these subclass options more generally available.
The following classes get their subclass at 1st level: Cleric. Sorcerer. Warlock. The following classes get theirs at 2nd level: Druid. Wizard. The rest get it at 3rd level. Share.
The Storm Sorcery subclass (SCAG, p. 137; XGtE, p. 51-52) is widely regarded as the weakest of the sorcerer subclasses; for instance, see RPGBOT's assessment of the subclass. We - as in my D&D group - mainly play without multiclassing, so combinations like this cleric/sorcerer multiclass build don't help the problem.
In D&D 5e, if for example, I chose a Wild Magic Sorcerer, and later on wanted to become a Wizard, would I get to choose another subclass for Wizard?
Paladin 6 Sorcerer 8 will fit your needs through level 14. "Which paladin class?" you have already answered with Oath of Vengeance. That is a very combat focused oath with good class abilities to take advantage of smiting. Your vow of enmity leans into melee combat. Clarification - Party includes also a rogue and a cleric. Which Sorcerer ...
