Cleaning cache and cookies does nothing. I'm having the same problem as OP but oddly only in Edge. I am able to save Bing customized settings in Firefox. Good day,Bing won't remember my "Customize your home page" settings after I close and reopen Edge. I need to change it every time I launch edge.
Not Bing's settings. - Scroll down to Clear Browsing Data. - Click on Choose what to clear every time you close your browser. - Find Cookies and other site data. - Under that you will see Don't clear and an Add button to the right. - Click the Add button, - Under Site type " [*.]bing.com" and click save.
This actually should not happen, but if it is happening then try reseting the browser or by cleaning the cache, cookies and history and then restarting the browser. See if it works. Apparently the settings page is very buggy atm, but you can always try the dropdown menu on the homepage. Example. This is the most useless advise ever lmao. In the Bing Search Settings, there are 3 options that let you customize your home page: Show News and Interests, Show Homepage Image, and Show Menu Bar. I am unable to uncheck any of these.
