2. Reaction score. 2. August 2011 letter from Chevrolet - 2011 Equinox with 2.4L recalled to repair camshaft position actuator solenoid. Result of problem is rough idle, poor driveability, and/or stalling at low throttle opening. I am having no problems but taking the car in tomorrow.
May 2013 edited April 2014. I have a 2011 Chevy Equinox that is also have the same engine problems (diesel-like start, rough idle, stalling, etc). It has been at the dealership for 5 days, and they have yet to "duplicate" the problem. The "problem" was occurring all weekend before I dropped it off to the dealership on Monday.

Messages. 11. Reaction score. 1. We took advantage of the recall. GM did require an inordinate amount of paperwork to prove we had done proper maintenance during the vehicle ownership. That said, the recall worked. We're now at 140,000 mi and have had no oil burning since the rebuild. Mar 27, 2023.

2011 Chevy Equinox - Engine Replacement. Have a 2011 Chevy Equinox with about 60,000 miles on it . Quick History , back about a couple of years ago the vehicle used to have a rough idle and stalling a couple of times when it was taken in to the dealer and the dealer made some changes for the OLM along with a couple of recall repairs .

1. Reaction score. 0. My daughters 2017 Equinox has experienced a blown rear seal twice. Both times during extreme cold weather. The issue is due to frozen water in the air cleaner housing where the PCV hose connects. The water freezes and causes excess pressure to build up thus blowing the rear seal.
I just got my 2011 Equinox back from the dealer for the 2nd time for the transmission downshifting very hard and jerking. They reprogramed the "Transmission Control Module" (TCM). There is a GM Service update, dated April 23, 2012. The Document number is "PI0724 : Harsh 2-3 Shift" it addresses the 2011 Chevy Equinox and the 2011 GMC Terrain.
