Barn Cats accepts “feral” cats, not “friendly” cats – pets. Every community has adoption groups that will take those cats and find them safe, indoor homes. Contact your local PetsMart or PETCO stores to find out what groups come to the store and when.
Barn Cats works through rescue groups and individuals who trap feral cats and maintain feral colonies of “community cats”. These cats are all sterilized and eventually placed at pre-approved barn sites.
When a feral colony caregiver feels that a group of cats need to be relocated, they contact Barn Cats via email patkerson@verizon.net or telephone 972-742-5238. All contacts are returned within 72 hours. Barn Cats accepts cats dependent on space available. As cats are placed, cages are freed up to take in other cats that need placement.

Barn Cats is an all-volunteer animal welfare group that specializes in the relocation of feral and semi-feral cats to safe barn homes. We are based in Lewisville, Texas. When we do a relocation of some cats, we leave Barn Cat flyers for neighbors and friends of the barn owner.
Barn Cats, Inc. volunteers travel to each barn site, take all the equipment and the cats and set them up in the larger cages for a safe relocation. If a cat comes in with another cat from the same site, we almost ALWAYS put them out together.
