To convert a PDF to SVG with dvisvgm, run the following command: dvisvgm --pdf --output=file.svg file.pdf. If you want to make your SVG smaller, you can add --optimize=all to dvisvgm and additionally run the resulting SVG through svgcleaner to further shrink the file without perceptual quality loss.
Converting PDF to SVG in Adobe Illustrator. Open the PDF in Adobe Illustrator. Select the page of the PDF you are interested in if the PDF is a multi-page document (Illustrator will only open one page at a time). Go to File > Save As ( Shift + Ctrl + S ). From the Format drop-down menu, select SVG (*.SVG).
Open the PDF file you want convert in Inkscape (not Acrobat) Click OK on the box that comes up. Wait a little while as Inkscape converts it. Click File>Save As.. Click Save in the bottom right corner. Done! You now have an SVG file with the same name as the PDF, but with the .svg extension.
