Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan is an anime series adapted from the manga series of the same title written and illustrated by Hiroshi Shiibashi. A second season titled Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan – Demon Capital ran for 24 episodes and aired from July 5, 2011 to December 20, 2011 on Yomiuri TV and other channels. The series is directed by Michio Fukuda with the cast from the first season returning to reprise their roles. [1]
The clan was once led by a human named Sanmoto Gorozaemon who grew in power by spreading stories about yōkai and in turn created them. The chapters of the Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan manga series were written and illustrated by Hiroshi Shiibashi. The series was first published in Shueisha as a one-shot in 2007. It was serialized in Shueisha 's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from 2008 to 2012, with its chapters collected in 25 tankōbon volumes.

Hiroshi Shiibashi (椎橋寛, Shiibashi Hiroshi, born June 6, 1980, Suita, Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese manga artist, known for the manga Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, which has been adapted into an anime series. He has worked as an assistant on Hirohiko Araki's series Steel Ball Run. [1]
