The 2021 Open Championship, officially the 149th Open Championship, was a golf tournament played 15–18 July at Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich, England. It was originally scheduled for 16–19 July 2020, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
The 2022 Open Championship, officially the 150th Open Championship, was a golf tournament played 14–17 July on the Old Course at St Andrews, Scotland. The championship was won by Cameron Smith with a score of 268, 20 under par, one stroke ahead of Cameron Young .
Because of rescheduling during the 2019–20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, six major championships occurred during the timeframe of the 2020–21 season, with two editions of both the U.S. Open and Masters Tournament, as well as the 2020 Summer Olympics.
