There is no separate cutoff for any of the papers and, the cutoff is decided on the aggregate marks. Amongst those candidates who have obtained minimum qualifying marks, a merit list is prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of two papers secured by such candidates. [5]
Each section contains 20 questions (MCQs) with single correct answers. So, the total number of questions in all sections is 80 (20×4). +3 marks is awarded for correct answer, -1 for incorrect answer and 0 if unanswered. The total marks of question paper is 240 (80×3). However, the merit list is prepared out of 180 marks (Best 3 sections).
