State Route 150 (SR 150) is a 11.76-mile (18.93 km) long state highway serving Chelan County in the U.S. state of Washington.The highway begins in the unincorporated community of Manson and travels southeast along the north shore of Lake Chelan into Chelan, where it is briefly concurrent with U.S. Route 97 Alternate (US 97 Alternate).
The Chelan County government began surveying a new road along the south shore of Lake Chelan in 1910 with the intent of connecting it to a new route over Navarre Coulee. The two roads would serve as an alternative to the existing Wenatchee–Chelan road via the steeper Knapp Coulee. [11] [12]
The Chelan-Douglas Public Transportation Benefit Area was founded in November 1989 and a 0.4% sales tax was approved by voters in September 1990 to fund a bus system. The Link Transit moniker was adopted shortly before bus service began on December 16, 1991. [ 1 ]

U.S. Route 97 Alternate (US 97 Alt., also abbreviated as US 97A) is an alternate route of US 97 within the state of Washington.It runs for 40 miles (64 km) from Wenatchee to Chelan, following the west bank of the Columbia River opposite from US 2 and US 97.
The Washington state highway system was changed to its current "sign route system" beginning in January 1963 with a state highway renumbering. [63] Under the new system, Interstate highways, U.S. routes, and state routes replaced the primary and secondary highways and were codified under the Revised Code of Washington in 1970. [3]
The highway re-enters Chelan County and follows the west bank of the Columbia River, merging with US 97A northeast of downtown Chelan. US 97 continues north, passing the Wells Dam at Azwell, and enters Okanogan County near Alta Lake State Park. It then intersects SR 153 before traveling through Pateros at the mouth of the Methow River.
