AOPEN (Chinese: 建碁股份有限公司; pinyin: Jiànqí Gǔfèn Yǒuxiàn Gōngsī, stylized AOPEN) is a major Taiwanese electronics manufacturer that makes computers and its parts. AOPEN used to be the Open System Business Unit of Acer Computer Inc. which designed, manufactured and sold computer components.
Acer's subsidiary in India is Acer India (Pvt) Limited, and was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Acer Computer International, Ltd. in 1999. It is a notable vendor in key segments such as education, desktop computers, and low profile notebooks for education.
