The 2025 Wellington City mayoral election, part of the Wellington local elections in October 2025, will be held to determine who will serve as mayor of Wellington for subsequent three-year term. The election will use the single transferable vote (STV) system.
The next elections will be held on 11 October 2025. Local elections are mostly organised by the councils themselves, with other organisations (for example the Electoral Commission, and the Department of Internal Affairs) having peripheral roles. The elections determine the membership of district, city, and regional councils.
