Lego Masters is an Australian reality television show based on the British series of the same name in which teams compete to build the best Lego project. It is hosted by Hamish Blake and judged by Lego designer Ryan "The Brickman" McNaught. The series premiered on 28 April 2019 on Nine Network. [1]
Auditions for the series opened in June 2018, however no network had commissioned it at that time, filming would take place between October and December. [2] The series was commissioned in July 2018 by the Nine Network, [3] [4] The series was officially confirmed at Nine's Upfronts in October 2018, also announcing the series will be hosted Hamish Blake.
Due to the success of the series, In May 2019 the series was renewed for a second season which will film later in 2019 set to air in 2020. [2] [3] On 16 October 2019, the second season was officially confirmed at Nine's upfronts. [4] The second season is sponsored by Lego, Honda, Kmart and Wonder Bread. [5]
Ryan "The Brickman" McNaught (born 1973), is an Australian Lego designer and Lego Certified Professional. He is one of only twenty-one professionals globally. [ 1 ] In 2019, he joined the TV series Lego Masters Australia , as the main competition judge alongside host Hamish Blake .
Elimination Challenge: "Kale Scale" [15] - The teams were given eight hours to make a creation as tall as Kale Frost from Lego Master Australia Season 1, but an extra restriction was that the creation could not be a building or a tower. The team with the weakest story elements and aesthetics in the build was eliminated.
On 15 May 2021 RTL4 aired another special, this time with teams of kids between 7 and 12 years old trying to win the title of Lego Masters Kids and a year of free Lego from a toy store. In 2022 a third season aired, with new Brickmaster Esmee Kuenen, Senior Element Designer at Lego, and new hosts: the Dutch Jamai Loman and Belgian Andy Peelman .

The fifth season of Australian reality television series Lego Masters, titled Lego Masters: Grand Masters, began airing on 10 April 2023. [1] Unlike previous series’, eight teams returned from previous seasons to compete. Hamish Blake returned as host along with Ryan "The Brickman" McNaught as judge. [2]
