Team Rocket (Japanese: ロケット団, Hepburn: Roketto-dan, Japanese: [ɾo̞ke̞t̚to̞ dã̠ɴ]) is a fictional crime syndicate in the Pokémon franchise. Team Rocket is a primary antagonist in the original Pokémon video games Red , Green , and Blue , as well as in the long-running Pokémon anime TV-series .

Team Rocket encounters a poacher who hunts for poison-type Pokémon. When Team Rocket learn that the captured Pokémon include Koffing and Ekans, they decide to free them from the poacher's grasp and they release Arbok and Weezing to protect Ekans and Koffing. At the end, James gets himself a new Pokémon; Cacnea.
A Pokémon magician named Lily attempts to create a magic spell, but as well as needing Pikachu, is missing one ingredient; a tear from an Aipom. Team Rocket steals Lily's spell book and try to get Aipom to shed a tear without force. After beating Team Rocket, however, the spell fails and Ash gets turned into a Pikachu.
When Team Rocket encounters an Alolan Meowth, Jessie and James admire its clever demeanor—but our Meowth knows from experience that this lookalike is only looking out for number one! To Meowth’s chagrin, Jessie and James want Alolan Meowth to join Team Rocket, and it even comes up with a plan to catch Pikachu once and for all.

With Team Rocket having hacked into the subway system's computers, the Subway Masters cannot help but to watch as Team Rocket keeps on releasing fake trains as distractions. Ash suggests inspecting them one by one until they find the right one. Meanwhile, Dr. Zager is planning on rendezvousing with Jessie and James at a designated location.
