The Beryozka or Berezka Dance Ensemble (in Russian: Берёзка, 'little birch tree') is a troupe of female dancers founded by Russian choreographer and dancer Nadezhda Nadezhdina in 1948 in the Soviet Union which specializes in performing in long gowns and moving across the stage as though gliding or floating. Her father, Mikhaïl Ivanovitch Poroshin, was a soloist in the famous "Ensemble Berezka". Her grandmother was an opera singer. Poroshina's parents divorced, and her mother remarries actor Dmitri Nazarov. He gets along well with his adopted daughter, checks her homework and questions her. She then has little free time.

Nadezhda Sergeevna Nadezhdina (Russian: Надежда Надеждина) (1904/8–1979) was a Russian choreographer, ballerina, and former director of the Russian female dance troupe Beroyzka ("little birch") from its inception in 1948 until her death. She is the daughter of prominent writer Aleksandra Iakovlevna.

It lies approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) north of Solina , 14 km (9 mi) north-east of Lesko , and 58 km (36 mi) south-east of the regional capital Rzeszów .
