The Harriman Historic District is located in the northern section of Bristol, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a 17-acre (6.9 ha) residential area with 109 buildings, mostly houses, and the local secondary school. By 1921, production at the shipyard had declined due to a postwar shipbuilding slump.

Steeple Claydon is a village and civil parish in the Buckinghamshire district of the ceremonial county of Buckinghamshire, England. The village is about 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Buckingham , 4.5 miles (7 km) west of Winslow and 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Waddesdon .
John Dorrance, Sr., bought an interest in Bristol Mills about 1827 and later bought out his partners. The mills themselves were constructed in 1701. Dorrance became a director in companies involved in steamboat lines, railroads, and shipping. [4] He participated in local business, politics, and government from 1835 to 1860.
