The Land's End Plantation in Stonewall, Louisiana, was established in 1835 by Colonel Henry and Ben Marshall, signer of the Louisiana Ordinance of Secession and the constitution of the Confederate States of America. Stonewall is a town in northern DeSoto Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census, [2] increasing to 2,273 in 2020. [3] It is part of the Shreveport–Bossier City metropolitan statistical area. North DeSoto High School and the Garland Scout Ranch of the Boy Scouts of America are located in Stonewall.
Buena Vista is a plantation with a historic mansion located about 3.8 miles (6.1 km) southeast of Stonewall, Louisiana, U.S.. It was built in 1859 for Boykin Witherspoon by M. Robbins. [2] [3] [4] The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 1989. [1]
