Mountain Creek is a ski resort in Vernon Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. It is located on New Jersey Route 94 in the New York Metropolitan Area, 47 miles (76 km) from the George Washington Bridge. Mountain Creek contains 167 acres (68 ha) of land for skiing area, night skiing, snowboarding, and snowmaking activities.
Mountain Creek starts in the South Mountain Range and Michaux State Forest and flows through them and Pine Grove Furnace State Park. After leaving the state park, the stream runs through Toland and the Holly Gap Marsh Preserve. It flows through the borough of Mount Holly Springs and joins with Yellow Breeches Creek near the borough. [3]

[1] It flows northeast for thirty-eight miles, forming a boundary between Grand Prairie and Dallas, where it meets Mountain Creek Lake, the mouth of the creek is on the West Fork of the Trinity River. [2] Walnut Creek is a tributary of the creek. [3]
