Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is the civic body that governs Pimpri, Akurdi, Chinchwad, Nigdi, and the remainder of the northwestern city limits of Pune, India. It was established on 11 October 1982. It governs an area of 181 km 2 with a population of 1.72 million.

The PCMC festival is an annual cultural event held in the city. It was started by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Pune in 1996 under the name 'Ganesh Festival' as it used to be organized on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. Since 2004, the PCMC stopped organizing the festival and it was kept alive by the PCMC Social Club.

In 1970s, due to increased industrialisation on Mumbai–Pune Highway, many villages around the highway were merged to form PCMC, Pune.The earliest villages which were absorbed were Pimpri, Chinchwad, Dapodi, Bhosari etc. Till 2018, below villages have been absorbed in the city.
