There are two previous major description languages: WSDL 2.0 (Web Services Description Language) and WADL (Web Application Description Language). Many cultures have a period or style of music that for various reasons is termed classical, e.g. Indian classical music. When writing about the variant of the Western tradition, it can be phrased as Western classical music (the link is a redirect to the Classical music article) to avoid ambiguity.
Music examples are an obviously valuable and necessary addition to Wikipedia, often superior to text. These are both far more valuable and far more free than music samples being abstract categories applicable to multiple examples without any of the copyright or other law applicable to samples. But how should these examples be provided?
Characteristics that commonly define one class of album might not define another class of album. E.g. 'conducted-by' commonly defines classical-music albums but rarely, if ever, defines rock-music albums. 'Produced-by' sometimes defines pop- and rock-music albums, but rarely defines classical-music albums.
The 'Music' category is merely a guideline on commercialized uses of a particular format, not a technical assessment of its capabilities. For example, MP3 and AAC dominate the personal audio market in terms of market share, though many other formats are comparably well suited to fill this role from a purely technical standpoint.
For copyrighted music samples it should be {{Non-free audio sample}}. Each copyrighted music sample must be accompanied by a suitable fair use rationale , or it will be deleted. Add relevant information about the sample in the description page, especially length and quality, but also copyrights, album, songwriters, producers, etc.
