The legislative district of Dasmariñas was the representation of the city of Dasmariñas, Cavite in the House of Representatives of the Philippines.The district corresponds to the 4th Legislative District of Cavite, which was created on October 22, 2009 [1] just right before the ratification of the Charter of the City of Dasmariñas [2] on November 25, 2009. The City Council of Dasmariñas (Filipino: Sangguniang Panglungsod ng Dasmariñas) is the legislature of the City of Dasmariñas, Cavite. It is composed of 15 members including 12 elected members, 2 ex officio members and 1 presiding officer. They are elected to serve a three-year term, with a maximum of three terms. [1]
Barangay Salawag is the largest barangay of the city in terms of land area and population. It is located in the north-eastern part of Dasmariñas. Bounded by cities of Imus and bacoor in the Northside and cities of Muntinlupa and Las piñas on the north eastern side and city of San Pedro in east side.
On September 12, in the same year, the Sangguniang Bayan passed Order 108-90 to eliminate the dividing of the DBB into areas, reorganizing them in 46 barangays like other barangays. [2] However despite the ordinances, it is still orally referred as "Area" when referring to the individual areas themselves.
