Sibiu is situated on the CFR-Romanian Railways Main Line 200 (Brasov – Făgăraș – Sibiu – Simeria – Arad – Romanian Western Border) and on Line 206 (Sibiu – Mediaș). The city is served by five rail stations: the Main Station ( Gara Mare ), the Little Station ( Gara Mică ), Turnișor, Sibiu Triaj, and Halta Ateliere Zonă.

Sibiu County (Romanian pronunciation:) is a county (Romanian: județ) of Romania, in the historical region of Transylvania. Its county seat ( Romanian : reședință de județ ) is the namesake town of Sibiu ( German : Hermannstadt ).

In March 1993, Constantin Chiriac organized the National Student Theatre Festival. The participants to this first edition of the festival represented no more than two countries (Republic of Moldova and Romania), and in 1994, the number of participating countries rose to eight, while the following two editions had guests from 21, and 24 countries, respectively.
The natural park was a favoured promenade location for inhabitants of Sibiu as early as the 18th century. It is known nowadays for the ASTRA National Museum Complex. The defunct tram line connecting Sibiu with Rasinari can also be seen from there. The Municipal Cemetery, opened in 1907, is located on the south side of the park's woods. [6]
Their real purpose was to act as a ventilation system for the houses' attics. [7] Nowadays, the eyes have become one of Sibiu's most famous symbols, making them a tourist attraction. In 2017, the eyes became a symbol of Romania's anti-corruption fight, being used by the organisation Vă vedem din Sibiu ("We see you from Sibiu"). [8]
