Naanum Rowdy Dhaan is Vignesh and Anirudh's maiden collaboration as composer-director after Vignesh had worked with Dharan Kumar on his debut film, Podaa Podi (2012), and had earlier collaborated with Anirudh as a lyricist penning one of the songs from Vanakkam Chennai (2013) and the independent single "Chance-ey Illa".
The six-song soundtrack was released to digital platforms on 1 July 2018. It was preceded by three singles: "Edhuvaraiyo" was the first song from the album, released on International Women's Day (8 March 2018). [2] "Kalyana Vayasu" was the second to be released on 15 May 2018, [9] [10] followed by the third song "Orey Oru" on 13 June. [11]
