    I have the same problem - my new Windows 10 machine that says it is assembled in the US had Yandex set as the default search engine. I cannot remove the Yandex search engine, even if I select another default. It is locked. I have the "remove" option for all the search engines except "default" "Bing", and "Yandex".

    To reach the DDG search engine page, I have to click on the DDG link shown under the search box.
