Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet is an American television series on Nat Geo Wild. The show premiered April 4, 2014. [1] The show stars Dr. Michelle Oakley and follows her adventures usually around her home base of Haines Junction, Yukon [2] and Haines, Alaska. Oakley is probably best known for his co-creation of the Wildstorm mini series Albion, with Alan Moore, Leah Moore, and John Reppion which ran from 2005 until 2006. The series revived many long forgotten UK comic book characters such as the Steel Claw and Grimly Feendish, some of whom had not been in print since the 1950s.

The center, its animals and staff have also been featured on many episodes of the NatGeo show Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet. In July 2010 the center's resident porcupine, "Snickers," gained worldwide publicity from video footage in which the friendly rodent appeared to behave like a puppy. The video went viral on the internet in a matter of days. [9]
