Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) (Urdu: جامعۂ بہاءالدین زکریا) is a public university with its main campus located in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. Bahauddin Zakariya University was founded in 1975 as Multan University , and is the 2nd largest university in Punjab following University of the Punjab .
Up to date, the HEC has published rankings for the years 2006, 2012, 2013, 2014 and most recently 2015. The institute was established in 1985 and initially affiliated with Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. In 2012, it got its own charter and Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou is appointed as the first vice-chancellor. [2]
