Georgetown is an unincorporated community or populated place (Class Code U6) located in Pettis County, Missouri, United States. [ 2 ] The community is located on Missouri Route H approximately one mile west of US Route 65 and three miles north of Sedalia .

A skirmish took place on October 14, 1861 between Union soldiers of the 13th Illinois, Fremont Battalion (Missouri) Cavalry and Confederates of Captain William Roberts. Gravois Mills is located in southern Morgan County on the upper end of the Gravois Creek arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. Missouri Route 5 passes through the town, leading north 9 miles (14 km) to Versailles, the Morgan county seat, and south 12 miles (19 km) to Sunrise Beach.
Lake Charles R. Fillmore (named for the grandson of the Unity cofounders) was created in 1926 to supply water to the farm and orchard that Unity maintained until the 1980s. A crew of 100 men built a concrete buttress dam, the only one of its kind in Missouri and one of the few west of the Mississippi River, at a cost of $100,000 to form the lake.
