Eve Myles (born 26 July 1978) is a Welsh actress from Ystradgynlais, Wales.She is best known for her television roles portraying Ceri Lewis in the long-running BBC Wales drama series Belonging (2000–2009), Gwen Cooper in the BBC science-fiction series Torchwood (2006–2011), and Faith Howells in the bilingually produced BBC / S4C drama series Keeping Faith / Un Bore Mercher (2017–2020).
The series stars Eve Myles as Faith Howells, a solicitor at a family-run law firm whose husband, Evan, disappears whilst she is on maternity leave following the birth of their third child. Renamed Keeping Faith, the English version premiered on BBC One Wales on 13 February 2018.
Freegard plays the regular role of Steffan Jones in the S4C series Teulu, a character who has been described by the Western Mail as the resident heartthrob. [2] In 2012 he appeared in EastEnders as the character Gethin Williams, making him the first actor to play a Welsh character in the soap opera since Richard Elis in 1996. [3]

The episode underwent less rewriting than any other script from the first two series with the final version being essentially a second draft. Gwen was initially referred to by her husband's surname, Williams, but Eve Myles vetoed this idea as she believed that an independent professional woman would want to keep her maiden name.

Within the series, Captain Jack is an immortal ex-conman from the 51st century who first appeared in the 2005 Doctor Who episode "The Empty Child".
