The Village of Warren was bound by 14 Mile Road on the north, 13 Mile Road on the south, the Michigan Central Railroad (MCRR) Bay City Branch to the east, and included the eastern half township section 5. In 1920 Warren Township had a population of 3,564.
It was located on the southwest corner of 9 Mile Road and Sherwood, adjacent to the Warren Assembly site on the east. The facility was the site of Dodge Dakota production from 1987 to 2011, with over 2.75 million vehicles produced. Macomb Community College spent a decade in the building, from 1954 to 1964, when it became a separate school per a county wide referendum. [3] [4] [5] The pool was added in 1958, being "one of the first in the county." A new school library opened in 1964. An auditorium, stadium and Fine Arts were completed in 1972. [3]
