    Looking for source, or at least user confirmation, that tower wars is a sub-genre name and not mereley a single game (Tower Wars). I've never encountered this as a genre and Google search produces exclusively Tower Wars related stuff. Skrofler 17:12, 15 March 2013 (UTC) Tower wars as a (sub)genre was common in Warcraft III.
