Gray is a census-designated place (CDP) within the town of Gray, in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. The population was 884 at the 2010 census ., [ 2 ] comprising 11.4% of the town's population of 7,761.
The former Pennell Institute building is located in Gray's village center, on the south side of Main Street (US Route 202). It is a 2-1/2 story brick building with a gable roof and tower. A tall 2-1/2 story gabled section projects from the front, with single-story porches on either side, sheltering the original entrances.
