The James River is a 130-mile-long (210 km) [4] river in southern Missouri.It flows from northeast Webster County until it is impounded into Table Rock Lake.It is part of the White River watershed.
The village is located along U.S. Route 60 between Fordland, four miles to the west and Seymour, four miles to the east. The headwaters of the James River are about three miles to the northeast.
